Very shortly after GBR 2004 I wrote down my thoughts and experiences of the weekend. I apologise it is so long, but this is my account of GBR 2004, and I saw very little of the runners. Click on the headline above to read the report

It may not be in English, but you can get the gist of what they are saying, and there are some really good photos. It takes a few minutes to download, but it's worth it. I get the impression they had a good visit to the UK.
GBR 2004 - Well Done to Everyone
We hope you all had a great weekend and the rain didn't dampen your spirits too much. Well done for being such good competitors and a big thank you all for your support and help with this years relay.
Please do send us your feedback, so that we can improve the relay for future years.
We have to give a special mention to Olsgbosco Runners who have raised £1,800 for charity and to Superman & the Nun, their two members who ran in fancy dress. Also, to Weston Knowles who came over from New Jersey, for the weekend, to run as a guest of Stragglers.
Congratulations go to:
Flanders Running Club from Belgium who won the relay, by 54 minutes, in 22.12.17.
Millennium Group finished 5th overall to take the veteran's prize in 23.56.56.
Serpentine Gulliver's Travellers were 14th overall and won the ladies' prize.
British Airways, 13th overall, won the corporate trophy.
For the third year in succession Ranelagh Bloodhounds won the Toilet Seat - consistent performers.
The new prizes of Kings & Queens of the Mountains were won by Flanders & Serpentine Ladies.
Still to be awarded are the "Wissahickon Trophy" for most supportive club and the prize for the club to collect the most money for charity. To decide both these prizes you need to let me know, a) which club you felt was most supportive over the weekend (Stragglers do not qualify for this prize) and, b) if your club has raised any money for charity. E-mail Sean Davis at sean.davis@lycos.co.uk.
